DUSTY BOOKS AND DOODLES

I THINK YOU CAN LEARN ALOT ABOUT SOMEONE (AT LEAST AN ARTIST SOMEONE) BY LOOKING IN THEIR SKETCHBOOK. MOST OF THE TIME I'D RATHER LOOK AT A SKETCHBOOK THAN ANYTHING HANGING ON A WALL. IT BECOMES MORE PERSONAL THAT WAY. WHEN I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THESE BOOKS I'VE KEPT FOR YEARS NOW IT WAS FUNNY HOW MOST OF WHAT AND HOW I WAS DRAWING REFLECTED WHAT WAS GOING ON IN MY LIFE (WHERE I WAS LIVING, THE PEOPLE I WAS WITH, HOW I FELT ABOUT THINGS ETC.). WITH MOST THINGS, WHAT YOU'RE DOING AT THE TIME DOESN'T COMPLETELY MAKE SENSE UNTIL YOU LOOK AT IT IN RETROSPECT.
